|
I noticed today at a bit before 2 PM MST that the queue was nearly 4 hours long. At anything longer than about 2 1/2 hours it becomes useless to even make a request.
The question is, should the queue length have a limit by not allowing any more requests once it reaches a certain length? What do you guys think? I think 2 1/2 hours should be the limit.
BTW, I don't know if this is even technically possible. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.

It works cause the request disables at 3:30 ... _________________

Really? If that is the case, then this is moot. But 3 1/2 hours is too long IMO. I edited the post to reflect a 2 1/2 hour limit as reasonable. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.

I like it the way it is now, 2 1/2 hours is not that long when you are at work. Plus you get to listen to get music while you wait. _________________ Religion is true for the common man.

No, I don't think that's a good idea. The limit is fine as it is. We should have a limit on the number of accounts any user can have, especially double RIPs who think they are Gods of Cool.

I'm with the goat on the LONG tracks... some people put 10+ minute songs in the queue when it's over 2.5 hours, if the system could disable the buttons for those songs, then Pesa would be god. _________________ Death to false metal. \,,/ |

You know there is already a Doom rule that says we can't request any song more then 10 mins long after the que is 2 hr.s. Which sucks because a lot of great Funeral Doom songs are a lot longer then 10 mins. _________________ Religion is true for the common man.

The solution is so easy: Jeric should throw the whole ultralong (funeral) doom songs overboard.

They are not the problem. Its 50 crappy "brutal" dm songs that all sound the same filling up the Q. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.
